Did you know that the Murcia bullring was the first to grant an official pardon to a bull? And that it is the arena where more bulls have been spared than anywhere else?

There are two main breeds of fighting bulls raised in the Region of Murcia: Nazario Ibáñez Azorín and El Rellano.

Murcia, the vibrant capital of Spain’s orchard region, blends history, culture, gastronomy and fun. If you visit the city during the September Fair, you’ll find a unique experience that combines bullfighting tradition, popular festivities and unforgettable sightseeing.
